Fortnite is a co-op sandbox survival video game developed by Epic Games and People Can Fly, the former also publishing the game. The game was released as a paid early access title for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 25, 2017, with a full free-to-play release expected in 2018.

Two biggest multiplayer games "Fortnight" and "PUBG" are going toe-to-toe against each other with more and more players joining them every day. Fortnite hit a new peak of 3.4 million concurrent players last Sunday breaking the previous record of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds of 3.2 Million at a time.

he accomplishment was blemished by repeated server crashes caused by the massive number of players. “The extreme load caused 6 different incidents between Saturday and Sunday, with a mix of partial and total service disruptions to Fortnite,” the company wrote in their blog. The post goes into some technical details about what caused the various outages, which involved everything from matchmaking, to account retrieval, to instant messaging, to cloud servers being overwhelmed.
